Bonfire

Fireworks fireworks every night now since halloween and I think there will be more again tonight. When I was a kid it was November the 5th come what may we weren’t allowed to touch them before that date and if it was raining on the night the bonfire still went ahead.

Potatoes were put round the edge of the fire for us to eat all the fireworks were let off by adults unless it was a sparkler but even they were lit for us and we had to wear gloves to hold them. How things have changed yes there are still some bonfires where adults are completely in charge but there doe’s seem to be a lot of youngsters running about with fireworks and I would imagine that some will end up in hospital.
